A Very She & Him Christmas

The first time I fell in love with Zooey Deschanel’s voice was when she sang “Baby It’s Cold Outside” in Elf, so of course I’m super excited that She & Him are coming out with a Christmas album! They’ve released the tracklist and they have a preview up of the first song. I’ll absolutely be picking this one up.

Tracklist:
01 The Christmas Waltz
02 Christmas Day
03 Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas
04 I’ll Be Home for Christmas
05 Christmas Wish
06 Sleigh Ride
07 Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree
08 Silver Bells
09 Baby, It’s Cold Outside
10 Blue Christmas
11. Little Saint Nick
12 The Christmas Song

Tarina Tarantino’s Victorian Navajo collection

It’s all really pretty, but I particularly like the long pendant necklace & the mod ring. Really, I pretty much lust after everything that she makes. Maybe someday it’ll fit into my budget a little better!

Statigram

Naturally, as an avid Instagram user, I was stoked when I found out about Statigram. It lets you view everything online instead of just on your phone and also gives you all sorts of analytics and stats about your account & usage. It’s pretty fun to poke around on.

The “Musings of a Cigarette Smoking Man” & “Unusual Suspects”

I so loved learning the (possible) origin stories of the Cigarette Smoking Man and The Lone Gunmen in these two X-Files episodes. The “Musings” episode suddenly made me empathize with someone I just found out was behind devastating assassinations. It’s a testament to the writers as well as the actor that I practically wanted to cry at his writer’s disappointment at the end of the episode. I watched “Unusual Suspects” today and thoroughly enjoyed learning how The Lone Gunmen originally got together. The episode was so well-written and the story was great.

Basically, I’m very much enjoying watching the series. I do have to say that I’m glad to be watching the whole thing now via Netflix instant watch because I can’t even imagine having to wait months and months after some of these cliffhangers!

Sidenote: Alex Krycek definitely reminds me of Lindsey McDonald from Angel – anyone else?

Taking too many pictures of my cat, of course.

Have a great weekend!
