Sorbet Drop Earrings by Rocks Paper Metal: How pretty are these earrings? Rocks Paper Metal’s Etsy shop is filled with pretties, but I think these are particularly awesome since I just won a pair from The Fashionable Esq! I’m so excited for them to arrive.

DIY Flower Crown via Green Wedding Shoes: How fun is that? I have no idea when I’d have occasion to sport something like this, but I guess you make the occasion.

The Cabin in the Woods: I knew there was a high probability I’d love The Cabin in the Woods, but now it’s at the point where the more I think about it, the more I love it. Hopefully I’ll be going to see it again soon!

The Dainty Squid’s Painted Cat Brogues by Pony Chops: The shop has some seriously fantastic custom shoes but the pair they painted for The Dainty Squid take the cake! Kitty shoes! I’m in love.

Spring Clover Crochet Headband by hi tree! Another of my favorite Etsy shops recently added a bunch of new items and these headbands are my favorites. I definitely need one of these to sport this spring.

(All Whedon) Links I Heart:

  • Joss Whedon Answers My Q’s via Pop Candy: In which Joss Whedon describes, in detail, what he thinks would go down in a fight between Buffy and Black Widow. Oh Joss, I just can’t even deal. <3
  • Buffy Comic Spin-Offs Starring Spike and Willow Get Release Dates via EW: Dark Horse mini-series starring Spike and Willow, respectively? I am SO there!
  • Joss Whedon Still Wants To Do That Giles Spin-Off via The Mary Sue: Umm. Yes please!
  • ‘Cabin in the Woods’: Fran Kranz’s Higher Education at ‘Pot School’ via Hero Complex: Hero Complex talks to Fran about Cabin in the Woods, Joss, and even Lust for Love!
  • Why Cabin in the Woods is So Awesome via The Mary Sue: This spoiler-heavy review is spot-on, as I’d expect from the ladies of The Mary Sue. Seriously, if you haven’t seen Cabin in the Woods yet, remedy that.

When someone you used to watch on TV personally invites you to her joint birthday with someone else you used to watch on TV (both of whom you worked with on a film that’s currently in post-production), you say yes. And you show up in a leopard print dress.

Lust For Love: I am so glad I was able to be a part of making Lust For Love! We officially wrapped production on Thursday and it’s still kind of surreal that I won’t be spending 12+ hours a day with those people. It was a fantastic experience all around. On the last day, we filmed on a rooftop in downtown Los Angeles and I used Reeli (created by none other than Enver Gjokaj and his brother) to put together the above video. I hope you all like it. :)

Hello lovely people! My life has suddenly become something of a whirlwind of excitement, which means I haven’t had quite as much time on the blog here. I will definitely have to figure out the balance.

Last Tuesday, I volunteered as an extra on the set of Lust for Love, as they were looking for people and it stars quite a few actors from Dollhouse, a series I very much enjoyed. So I went and had a great day on set. Over the course of the day, I surmised that they were shorthanded on PAs (production assistants) and that quite a few of the ones they did have were volunteers. Since I’ve been looking for a way to get my foot in the door somewhere, before leaving that night, I made it a point to ask if they needed any more volunteers. Fortunately, the answer was a resounding yes!

Flash forward to last Thursday when I experienced my very first day as a production assistant. Fortunately, the crew and actors are lovely. I also went back Friday for an overnight shoot and wrapped a roughly 14-hour day today. Welcome to Hollywood! I’m enjoying every minute of it, but obviously that is taking up quite a bit of my time.

The Fit & Fabulous bit of this post is that, thanks to those long days on set instead of at home sitting around on the computer, I lost somewhere between three and four pounds last week! Thank the lord, the scale is finally moving. So while I may not have as much time to do my regular workouts, being on my feet, carrying heavy things around, etc. just might pay off in the end.

I hope you all are having a fantastic week. <3
